Testimonials
So many thanks to you Jane, everyone was so moved by what a special service it was, the unique and personal nature of it, we are so grateful it would have meant so much to Mary.

Jane agreed to be the celebrant at my wife’s cremation service and conducted the ceremony with dignity, sensitivity, tremendous warmth and compassion. She was a great support to the family at this very difficult time. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Jane in the highest possible terms.

This was the first funeral service I had ever been responsible for organising myself. I decided early on to employ a humanist celebrant who could hold things together. I was provided with Jane Milligan. She turned out to be an experienced actor and singer, as well as a celebrant. After an initial discussion, she provided a sketch order of service, talked me through it, gave me tips on writing an eulogy, offered to read it out if I felt unable to read it myself when the time came, helped me to select suitable pieces of music, offered to read some poetry and, if I wanted, even to sing.
My composure had also been reinforced by Jane showing me around the chapel before the service started and hovering reassuringly around both before and after the service, to offer reassurance if I needed it. Jane provided a reassuringly steady and welcome helping hand throughout and would certainly use her service again, should the need arise.

I just want to say a huge thank you on behalf of all the family, for your beautifully read tribute to our mum/wife/grandmother. We were comforted by your kind words, and we couldn’t be any happier by the send off we gave her.

Thank you for guiding us through the service so expertly yesterday – it was a very warm and fitting farewell to our beloved mum.
Many many thanks.

May I express deep gratitude to you for the way you handled Hazel’s funeral service. Although upsetting at the time I feel that you presented all my wishes, even with the restrictions I imposed regarding the family side of things, your presence and courteous nature made the funeral seem natural and flowing. I thought the small touches were brilliant, especially where you notified the whole gathering of the relevance of the poems.
May I take the time to tell you, all the family were impressed by way the funeral went, with your presence taking the lead, they all thought it was what Hazel would have wanted. The service was all about Hazel, which is what I wanted.
